Good Option - Polaroid Digital Camera Critique

by Addison Johnson

On the river I took numerous pictures with all the settings to be very disappointed. The quality was so terrible; I double checked all the settings to make sure it was not user error.

What I love about it is that you can set the scene to whatever environment you are in. It also has a function that allows for shooting continuously.

The 720p HD video looks awesome, especially on your HD TV. No issues with this camera. The memory card that was supposed to fit in the camera didn't slide down all the way. In all, I would not suggest this camera to anyone who enjoys sending in their camera often, and enjoys not knowing which setting to use. And in my experience salt water leaves a film on the lens so always wash in clean fresh water after any underwater activity. The on-board software glitches when I tried to load it onto my computer, but I haven't really tried to fix it yet. The zoom really impressed me too, especially underwater (just make sure you set it to the underwater option- I found that makes a big difference). I also love how easy this camera is to use- my dad bought the new Canon underwater camera for our California trip, and he spent the better portion of every killer moment trying to adjust his settings or figure out which button to push.

While I haven't exposed it deliberately to any of these yet...I'll update once it's been initiated. I bought this camera for my daughter to take on her vacation. This is a great camera if you get stuck in a monsoon or if there will be danger of splash on a lake. Above water the pictures do not come out well at all.

Their program you use on the computer is great too. So many awesome features!

It does not charge in my computer and must be charged in a wall. But a spare wall charger while you are at it if you want as well. This model has a couple of serious problems that irritates us. First, when we push on button, the lens door open immediately but the camera is not available to take. I went to Greece over the summer, and I had a very hard time trying to figure out what setting to use. During the night time, if I had a dark picture, you would see "bubbles" all around and it would totally ruin your picture.

I sent the camera back to Amazon with explanation and they gave me a refund no questions asked. The battery compartment was closed so I don't know if this was a defect or fluke.

Sincerely, I love it...got it and the next day took it white water rafting, it was dropped, hit, smashed, dunked...and nothing stopped it from working, taking great pictures and videos and still looking brand new. My friends went out to get one of their own! I followed the guide given with the camera to help maintain and check for the waterproof feature and water got behind the screen and inside the lens.
