When a photographer takes photos, he normally already have bundle shots for the wedding. But you can tell them ahead of time if you have specific shots you want included. Give them a list of the shots that you consider really significant.

It is still up to you to make the pictures work at the end of the day. The photographer can give you the finest photos based on technical shots and viewpoints. But he can't capture emotions on camera if they are not present. He can only do so much.
